Apple has painted a big target on them, so time to kick out the cool stuff or end up in the history books.

Love my Galaxy Nexus, I'll probably grab a Nexus 7 too whenever the demand drops off a bit.

Well the price won't go down I can tell you that, they are making little to no money priced at two hundred. Google is banking on google play sales. I'm thinking of preordering but id have to sell my tf101now.

Good luck with that. Android is the windows of the early 90s, because it runs on anything its pretty much unstoppable. Its already mature here and is replacing the old nokia candybar as the phone to go to in the developing world. In places like India where mobile phones are more common than land lines.

The tablet is nice, the Q is cool but way too expensive for what I would get out of it. If it was the Q, incorporated with an improved Google TV I might care but right now I get most of that service out of my Logitech Google TV.
            Im now E30less.

Just got my nexus 7 tonight... I'm about 20 minutes into it and Apple can find the exit.

                  Fast, friendly, and incredibly customizable.

Oh, posted from toilet using Nexus 7.

I've been considering one for a head unit in the E46 M3. Sadly, the iPad mini won't quite fit. :(

My son has one.. not worried about him breaking it/losing it. I use it when I'm on the couch. Runs well and was $200. What else would you expect from goog!

I think the hardware is fine, however the interface STILL is not as uniform as the Apple design language, which irks me everytime I use my Android devices. For example, back button or home button this time in this app vs that app?

For me I would still choose the iOS device especially as I do enjoy the iTunes/Apps experience on my PC, 2 Macs and several iPods....

I do enjoy more of the free apps on the Android devices. To me it's all about the pricing structure and enjoyment of the OS and Apps, and both win in their own rights, but as stated I choose the iOS stuff.

Still I might pick up a Nexus 7 to bring to the track instead of bringing a more expensive laptop or iPad to be stolen.

apple has been a game changer for 15 years, consistently 4 years ahead of everyone else. each time they comes out with a new* product everyone scrambles to copy them. then, when the market has caught up, they come out with another new product and everyone flips shit again. sadly, i think this was due to steve job's vision. the man was a genius and a visionary. without him, i think apple is going to lose it's leading role. i doubt it'll ever go back to it's early 90s nonexistence, but it won't be number 1 anymore.

*dont be a douche and say, hey that's not new. i dont care who made it and no one saw it. apple brought it to the world and everyone saw it.

Agreed. Apple is the reason we HAVE Android the way it is.

That being said, IOS6 is nothing new, they have milked the same UI for so many years, Apple Maps was a disaster (Google saved the day there) and the phones are just not that cool anymore. Hell my Droid DNA has a higher resolution screen than the IPhone5 and its gorgeous.

Android versus IOS experience, shrug, yes IOS is more polished, but it has less customization and more playing by apples rules.

Nexus is a great move forward for Google., however I wish on the phone level they would come out with cutting edge phones that beat out everyone else. Lacking LTE (which pissed me off), lower quality screens, etc are not helping anything.

Now on the Nexus 7 / 10 side, they are by far the best shipping tablets out there at the moment. The Pricepoint cannot be beat for what you get. Apple's attempt to survive with the Ipad Mini was a noble effort, but the pricepoint they put it at is hilarious.

Without Jobs they are playing catchup now. I can recall quite a few keynotes from Steve Jobs that are simply hilarious to re-read now

                              1) We will never have a larger screen on the iPhone, (compared to DroidX at the time) hence the term aircraft carriers)
                              2) We will never have integrated graphics on our macs (8 months later went to Intel integrated on the Mac Mini)
                              3) We will never have a smaller tablet, its pointless, the Ipad is the perfect size... Hello iPad-Mini.
                              4) Or my personal favorite, we will never allow install-able apps as it can affect the security of the device (Launch of Iphone 1)

Better stuff is out there, and I'm glad to see threads like this discussing it. If I didn't have my Motorola Xoom I'd grab a Nexus 10 myself. Jellybean 4.1/4.2 is simply amazing, especially with Google Now.
