    Are you a closet r3ver?

Are you embarrassed to frequent a car forum?
Does it make you feel insecure stereotypes such as "not having a life", etc..?
I'll be honest here. I don't like my friends knowing that I'm so into cars.
When I was a little kid, everyone knew I was into cars. It got to a point where it identified me as being strange for knowing so much about cars..
So that's why I decided to keep my passionate love for cars somewhat low-key, sans automotive forums. It's like a kind of sanctuary for me, and one of my greatest hobbies/loves in life. There was even a certain point that I drove a Volvo station wagon with the purpose of proving to girls that I wasn't into cars.

Therefore, most of my homies and girls that I have dated know nothing of my love for cars..except maybe the closest friends, family, and girls who would have to be blind and deaf to notice it.

I always thought that engaging in such behavior would turn away girls etc, but no longer being an 8th grader (thank you Baby Vivek ;-)), and having my fair share of girls in my teenage years, I don't really seem to care anymore. I know a lot of dudes on here are married, or in serious relationships or partnerships.. maybe it was just my then immature/insecure mind, but for some reason, I haven't been able to shake that notion in my head.

Recently, it was brought to my attention that my posts on a Peugeot Facebook group full of "characters " were public, and all my friends could see my posts on it, with the other peoples' replies, etc.. Needless to say, I was somewhat embarrassed, and have thought about removing all ties from it - but I then realized that it was the main resource for me saving my Peugeot.

Anyways, do you feel that if your friends/partners knew that you frequented a car forum, they would judge you/think of you differently?

I'm the opposite... I wish I had more friends who were into cars. I just had a break up after 4 years exactly when I bought my M3.

M3 > person who can't handle the fact that I'm getting more into cars as of late.

Everything is a forum, this is, Facebook is, other things like twitter. All of these things have discussions. You wouldn't say the same about someone who went on Facebook 'a lot'? ..wait how much time do you spend on here??? haha

I'm not ashamed of liking cars, but I generally avoid discussing cars with most people.

                    Vicodin serious and kinda.
I feel like the context of my circumstance at the moment (trapped in my parents home fucked up on meds) is influencing me a little too much.
I think I came across too serious.
I meant it, but not so SRS ly

Who cares? Yeah, I've had that weird car kid persona with some kids I've known, but it shakes kinda quickly if you just don't talk about cars 24/7. Seriously, just b who u iz.

Nope, cars are my life. If somebody in my life is upset about my car hobby, they can go get fucked.

I was also that strange kid that knew too much about cars. Spent many long hours reading the bios of every single car in Gran Turismo 2, that kind of thing. Built my first motor in my bedroom when I was 15.

Cars are my passion, my freedom, and my escape. Bitches can turn tricks all they like, but my car will remain mine, exactly as I want it until I decide I don't.
