^^ That's the current version that's still being made in Iran (I think). It's only sold in 3rd world countries so it really is a 4x4 height--for good reason.

Ya, there are a lot of rural areas in countries such as Iran.
They've got snowy mountains, arid deserts, and seaside scapes.
Only problem is - the majority of people living in the country barely make any money, so this is more of a economic and utilitarian sedan.

Wallowy boat with below-par power. Against the other cars of the era (VR-4 Galant, RS Legacy, early GC8 WRX, etc) the Mi16 was a far better handler, almost as fast in a straight line and nicer inside (even if shit fell off it). I'd rate the driving experience (of a good Mi) as being as much fun and almost as fast as a DC2R.

My friends father worked for a peugeot dealer here in jersey back in the late 80's early 90's and he had 2 mi16's a few years ago and currently still has one. heres the red one with and erbuni kit.

His dad also has a number of other pugs and a garageful of parts.

heres the one they currently have.

Actually, I have driven a 405 and a 505. Both are shit but I'd take a 505 STI over any FWD, except a 105 GTI, or MK1 Suzuki Swift GTI.

Anyway, most cars are shit in stock configuration but it's nothing good suspension won't fix.

You must be on drugs. Or the Mi was a million km old and rooted. We have had 504s, 505 sti and gtis, and the 405s my dad has (and sri and an mi16) both out handle and out steer the rwd ones they had.

                      Ever driven a DC2R?

Only passengered but it was pretty damn quick.

You're right, FWD's can be fast but the driving experience just isn't the same. RWD, or AWD with a rear wheel bias is just so much more fun even if it isn't as fast.

The French are not known for building great cars, there are a few however The Renault R5 Turbo That was sick !
The French auto makers do squeeze money out of the American auto market, Renault owns Nissan , Peugeot had a joint effort with Renault and Volvo to produce and developed engines, Volvo's in the US had Peugeot power plants in them. The joint effort was known as PRV.
I never owned a Peugeot however, I did own a 1978 Renault R5 Le Car.

5-toes, I would send you an early 90s French export euro plate as a gift from me to you.
I am leaving the BMW scene soon, and will be returning to MES FRENCH ROOTS
