the water pumps last a long time though. it was just anecdotal but 100k didn't seem out of the ordinary.

I made this mistake a few years ago. I graduated from Engineering school and thought I was the bomb.com. I settled on a 2002 M3 SMG, awesome car! Still one of my favorite cars I have ever owned but hot dam is the maintenance expensive. I was dumping hundreds in parts every month but that’s not the worst part. These cars have "land mine" problems. The differentials fail constantly and are $3,000 to replace(and no the reg e46 diff won't work), the SMG pumps fail ($4,000), the water pumps fail ($500), etc etc. They are very expensive cars to own if you want to drive them aggressively. If your not convinced yet take a look at how many bushings they have in the rear.

I'm going to buy another one soon but only because I make bad decisions.

You totally should dude. You haven't dated a girl with fake boobs and a cocaine problem since you got rid of that car. Maybe its time to start again....

It's Oxford metallic or green. I can't remember right now but it is an individual car.

What is that supposed to mean? Women can't drive stick shift?

You guys must not have very many female friends or don't know many females.
