TurboJake is right. The SR20 is a very poorly designed engine, regardless of the tune the head is always going to be trouble.

Thought about a Toyota 3SGTE?

I was just abou to suggest the CA18DET, cheaper, more reliable and has all the power you need in an E30.

Just because I feel like gloting, I had a few gose against a R32 skyline gts-t the other night. First and Second I was actaully infront, thrid and so on he obviously had the power and torque. But when we pulled up again the guy asked me what I had put in it, when I said stock his mouth dropped. lol I was surprised cos I though he was just playing with me.

Anyways the point is I have a stock M42 with 140hp maybe 150 cos of the chip and CAI, a 200-250hp E30 is very fast and will hold off most cars, in a reasonable speed range.

Hence a good CA18DET.

RB20DET are pretty crap though. RB25 is the best upgrade you can do to an R32.

Still a 2lt turbo vs a stock 1.8lt i don't know. I suppose my M42 pulls reasonably hard for a 1.8lt
