I've realized something recently.

I've noticed that I enjoy coming onto this site for comments, stories and sharing differing views from you guys who are mostly comple strangers in real life, or from my past.

Sure we might not all see things in the same view, but that's to be expected with any group of people.

I also suppose it's b/c most of the ppl on my FB all have babies and shit and all they ever do is post stupid pics and videos of their kids. Like really?!?! I really dont' care that your baby looks like you and you sig. other. I'd be more interested if they didn't look like them LOLZ!

I use facebook to contact people, that is all, it's like a glorified email/IM to me. If I do happen to be scrolling through my news feed or whatever, and I see something annoying I immediately unfriend that person. Sorts the bullshit out of Facebook pretty damn quick.

I use Facebook pretty much only for keeping in touch with family/friends in other cities/states and to post pictures of whatever project I might be working on. Fuck all the apps and games and shit. I HATE when people send me request for it.

It was solid for networking when it was THE Facebook. The whole point of it was to be exclusive and to get people in school connected. And to bang chicks. Now it's just dealing with what MySpace turned into. Minus bad HTML coded pages. And sparkly word art.

Facebook is frequented with users desperate to tell the world their life is way better than it really is in reality; more often than not, the people who post the most are the people who, in reality, are the most discontented with their life because they aren't content with just being in the moment and are desperate to get attention by some other means; AK al la Facebook sharing posts/pictures. The person who talks the least if often the person who has the wisest things to say.

More over; Facebook is detrimental to personal societal growth because it creates an aura of creating relationships simply for the need of having a bigger friends list; I remember, I had a friends list of 700+ people and I hardly knew people or cared about whats actually happennjnf in their life of less than 50 people. Logging on to Facebook annoyed me morethan anything because I had connections to people I really didn't have a real life connection to, and I'd have to sift through their crap to find the people I really cared about

Deactivating my account didn't do anything because if and when I would reactivate it, the cycle would begin all over again.

So I did the unthinkable; I spent hours deleting people I did not know, well or otherwise, and shrunk my friends list down to the double digits; only including people who I actually keep in contact with and people that actually cared to keep in touch with me.

Forums at least keeps me in touch with a community that solely gathers to discuss a specific topic at had; Instagram, Christian forums, R3v, and INFJ forums are pretty much the only "social" networking I take part in these days. They are particularly what are important to me and I enjoy being surrounded with people of the same mentality because it build more solid, transparent, and genuine connections and friendships. That, and actually living in the real world for the sake of living rather than feeding the need to have something interesting to post on Facebook that night.

Screw Facebook; People spend way too much time, spending money they don't have, trying to impress people they don't like. Am I much happier..?
