Yep. All you need is a screwdriver. The one in the trunk kit worked fine to do a roadside fuel pump change for the woman. Hers was howling so I put a spare in the trunk for good measure.

CPS wire hit the pulley and left me in a parking lot right next to super conspicuous tire marks... I'll have to see if I can find the pics. Fucking tow truck driver bent my steering wheel

Half shaft bolts backed out at 2am, I had torqued them down to spec but I think grease and a lot of abuse caused them to break free.

I like this thread, it's clever.

Every other time just abandoned the e30 till I could fix it on the side of the street. Fuel pump, slave cylinder, water pump belt. LOL

Never been on a tow truck, but I've been saved by one. Jump start, gas

Didn't take pics but mine has been towed twice within 2 weeks. One for a fuel pump going out and the other because the previous owner forgot to tighten the 8mm hex heads for the inner cv joint causing my driver side to disconnect.

Then my E30s must not be E30s.

Mine refuses to be towed. Even when my fuel pump cooked itself, when my friend came in his truck it fired up and I limped it home.

Wish camera phones existed when I had my m10. Threw my drivers front wheel off at speed. Mechanic I went to for inspection didn't torque the nuts = free replaced suspension!

The E didn't do much better. Clutch failed driving home from class. Then the L piece on the firewall for the heater snapped off.

And the latest was cps connector came loose on the IS during a huge thunderstorm. Wasn't about to dick around under the hood during that mess.

Needless to say I've gotten great use out of AAA. I think slammin has the right idea though.

Here's mine - being dropped off at a friend's place. Spun a rod bearing....got a spare M20 refreshed ready to go in. I'll be doing the engine removal in a week or two.

No picture but I had a water pump go after getting in on a late, late flight. Sucked.
