I wouldn't get the Maserati... You won't be happy with it.
My cousin bought a 2008 Maserati Quattroporte GTS almost a year ago now, and is not happy with it. We bought it in California, and drove it home to Washington. The car is so heavy that you CANNOT feel the 400hp. The inside isn't all that nice as well. The F1 transmission is TERRIBLE; very rough shifting. You can actually burn the clutch on it, even though it's an automatic. A clutch job on one of these costs about $5,000, and lasts about 30-40k miles.
The ONLY nice thing about the Maserati is the exhaust. Sounds really nice in a drive-by, but can't hear it from inside the car.
I'd stick with the Lotus.

ive always had a soft spot for the 512bb. a friend of mine had one too, sold it because he had a kid or something dumb and he wanted to keep his delorean, which is uber slow
