What are the divorce rates in US. vs. other places? Reading this thread makes it seem like this is very very common LOL

according to the census bureau the number is still about 50% of marriages end in divorce with ~20/1000 citizens getting married and ~10/1000 getting divorced each year sawsse
while other countries enjoy much lower marriage and divorce rates across the board. Apparently, the US is divorce numbers are going down but this seems to be because fewer people are getting married sawsse

Thanks for all the reply's,it really really means alot !!!!!!!!! I almost started crying when i got the letter from my lawyers office via fax last friday that is was going my way. Untill you have kids then unfortunately have to go through this,you have know ideal what i am taking about. But again thanks to everybody for input and all the help along the way.

I would imagine that it feels as if you have just started a new life. One that includes your offspring. It shows how much you care about being with your child and I could only hope you "hold on" to that feeling throughout the childs upbringing. If so then it will really be noticed by and felt by the child and that is one of the best feelings there is.

Congratulations and go forth and do right by your child now that you have the opportunity!

Congratulations man, glad the legal system swung the gavel in your favor. Good decision on lawyering up, I'm sure that helped tremendously. Regardless of the cost-you get to keep your kids! Family over everything.
