Same here. Water cooling should be drained/flushed every year to be safe from what I have read.

Air doesn't quite get as low on the temps, but with proper case setup... it's pretty darn close. Unless going for cred, looks, or lowest possible temps (besides No2) air will suit 99% of builds.

I personally have watercooling in my comp. It's cool. I wouldn't do it again however... I just did another build for pops and did all aircooled...runs quiter and cooler than my water setup.

            Corsair h50. Just sayin

I've had mine 4 years and had it replaced recently when the pump started making noise, for free. CPU runs at 30C overclocked. No maintenance, little to no noise. My room does get quite hot when my computer is on though

              That's surprisingly low temp...I've seen sub 60C with the H50 OC'd.

Yeah I call absolute BS on that 30C. What temps you talking about, when the PC is off? at idle? do you have a pentium 2?

Im extremely happy with my noctua air cooler, got the middle sized one, and my temps vary between 32-35* idle/sleep to 45-50* with games/rendering/whatever. Keeps the temps in a nice range. My H100i would vary in the range from 37-75* all day long, this was after replacing the thermal paste, doing a bunch of different fan configs, everything.

Weird. My H80i GT doesn't let my 4690k get close to 50. With that being said, I wish I could fit a noctua dh14 in my case. Maybe a d9l will fit. idk

I was thinking the flat one could fit, but dont know if it would clear your ram.

My PC has been so quiet since the Noctua overload that I forget its on my desk... At least until the loud as shit GTX 770 fans kick in.

That would be super nice. I think there's something fishy with my h80, the pump seems to be making some weird noises. Might have to RMA it. I don't think I will ever get an aio cooler again.

My 4690k temp went up to 66°c but I had been playing battlefield for a couple hours and my 970s are about 75°c

Hey guys, I need a bit of advise on a couple things please.

Background, putting together new system. Purpose, basic use with a little bit of gaming and fair amount of solidworks/photoshop. I have a recommended list of parts including an Intel Core i5-4590 processor and Asus H97-Plus Motherboard.

Graphics card options (these are both already in my possession).
-AMD Firepro W2100 (new, little guy)
-ATI Radeon HD 4890 (older, big guy)
Which would be the better card for me?

*Also it seems like programs like SW and PS are harder to get *grey versions of now days. Am I mistaken? if so please PM me, I'd really appreciate it. I'm not super savvy but understand basics.

Lol at idle obviously. Im not encoding video 24/7 so that's the temp the computer will be running at the majority of the time. With some load such as gaming it'll get up to 45 but no more

Processor is an AMD Phenom 2 955 Black at 3.5ghz

Here's the temps at idle on a hot California summer day :D
Ambient temp today was around 25C
