LOL @ mainstream hip hop and rap. Its all the same crap IMO. Artists like cunning lynguists, immortal technique, jedi mind tricks, atmosphere, and the visionairies are REAL hip hop artists.

I found a backpacker. Define a "REAL" hip hop artist. Hip hop has many different subgenres, such as more conscious stuff like Mos Def, Aesop Rock, or Del, and party music like Meek Mill. To dismiss mainstream artists as "not real" is idiotic. It's just a different style.

Immortal Technique blows. Just sayin'. He wrote "Dance With the Devil", and "Obnoxious". He seriously hasn't done anything since then, aside from claiming that Bush did 9/11. His first album was alright, but he just hasn't progressed since then.

Kanye is actually a decent lyricist, and there are many "mainstream" artists that are brilliant, Outkast for example, even Jay-Z.

Album fucking blew. I'm the biggest kanye west fan in the world, I think he's the tops, no artist better. His rapping sucks at this point, but there isn't a better artist. IMO he's super selfish, I fell like he isn't putting 100% into albums that aren't his own like this one and watch the throne both felt half assed. Only song that was good that wasn't on the radio was clique, JayZ is still insane. Pusha T is the best pound for pound rapper out right now, he killed every song that was on the radio. Wayne is going down hill fast. I don't know which was worst this album or dedication 4.

Watch the Throne was lame. This album seems more like party/club music.
