I get new phones when my contracts end, no desire to buy a new one just because they're new.

Lte sucks you dont want it. Coverage is shitty and connections are intermittent, even if it is faster.

I switched my phone back to cdma.

Thought about it, but I don't shit on my phone outside of talk, nav and random google searches all of which my galaxy s2 does fine. That said, I'm getting an s3 just because. Iphone's are for fancy's.

Contracts SHOULD end if the phone breaks beyond manufacturers warranty of 1 year due to a defect. I'm a little nervous about having mine beyond the 1 year mark given how often I've seen the speakers in iphones fail. Probably sell it and go for a samsung, those things are damned bulletproof.

                            Agreed.

GF and I went to Smartphones and she was astounded to hear that we need to charge these things DAILY! she was getting pissed with our old phones that would ONLY last 3 or 4 days on a charge.

That's roughly one iphone every 6 months since they first launched. So you've either had other issues, or you can't keep a phone long enough to know of it's long term reliability. A phone should last the full term of its contract, if providers want to hold people to 3 years then they should extend warranties by an additional two.
