I used my welding mask too and it worked great, stayed outside for at least an hour. Had a lot of cloud cover but it cleared up just in time. Definitely wishing I had driven down to the totality region but I thought it was still really cool.

I'm in a totality region. It really didnt get that dark. It was no different then what it looks like at 7:30-8 o clock in the evening.

Well guys, life's hopefully starting to look a little more upwards. I started going back to school part time for a Computer Support Specialist Degree (Basically Information Technology). I also just got a promotion to the IT department at the bank. Baby momma moved out of state with her new husband. At the beginning of the year, she signed residential custody over to me and tried to run away by faking deployment, so it worked HUGELY in my favor and I now have my little girl all of the time (still make efforts to let her see her mother though, even though her mother hardly goes for it...)! I feel like life's finally getting better.
