because paying a DMV/PD worker to put 4-$100 sets of wheels back on eBay is sooo profitable

      exactly.....
This thread is stupid, complaining about a few cars that are worth a few thousand dollars getting crushed. Wake up, us car people are the terrorists to the politicians. You are supposed to buy a brand new car every 5 years to keep the economy up. Here in europe they have been enforcing that for many of years, it is VERY expensive to keep an old (but not yet classic) car over here, hence the reason Germans are shipping u.s. spec VW T1/T2 vans, porsches, and old benzes over here like crazy for the last few years.

You noticed that too? That E30 put up a fight.

That video is the epitome of cops wanting to be the coolest kids on the playground. 80's metal! Explosions! I wouldn't be surprised if they showed that video to the owners of the cars once they finished it.

Sure looks like they're protecting and serveing.

Maybe instead of disposing of illegal drugs, we can just fine the people hardcore and let them keep their drugs, huh?

This should apply to dui's too. Drive drunk? Crush the car. Street race? Crush the car. Keep it on the track kids. If you've ever delivered pizza near a university campus you've probably been nearly killed by a dumbass racer. I don't care if you are driving a Ferrari, a Bentley, a civic, or an e30. You childishly put someone else's life in danger because you are to stupid to not drive drunk or race, your car should be crushed. With you watching. Life leasons are hard. Some people are fortunate to learn said lessons without involvong a hearse.
                        Race tracks and cabs.

Edit:better yet, give the owners the leftover cube back.

Don't crush the car. The person can always get another car and do the same thing over.

                          Crush the person.

The car is not at fault. It is an inanimate object, controlled by a person.
