Rather than looking up to real role models and success stories in their communities, Black media in the US have decided to hold this piece of shit up as someone to be heralded.
A poor, innocent picked on black man who just happened to head up and run the "Crips", the most violent and dangerous gang in california and the united states. This poor, misunderstood soul shot and killed 4 people execution style in a convienence store in a crack fueled rage.
Since he's been rotting in jail for 25 years, he's written a childrens book about gangs and Jamie Fox made a movie about him. Rather than looking up to real role models and success stories in their communities, Black media in the US have decided to hold this piece of shit up as someone to be heralded.
What charlie state is the root of the problem in the inner city. Everyone talks about these pieces of shit while many sucessful black men and women I know got where they are by leaving that kind of bullshit. The problem is since they moved to safe neighbourhoods and dont have 26" chrome wheels on overpriced Chevies these kids think they are sellouts.
I oppose the death penalty on religious grounds. Still, to ignore that this will occur as a result will be wrong. It is a crime that some in our society will hold him up in this regard. He is still a murderer.
Had he been locked away without parole - do you really think he would have "changed" so much knowing he did not face this penalty?
His merits have been touted by BJ from M.A.S.H. and a varity of other screen guild artists. They seem to be so out of touch. Hence why we also have video games like San Andres and all the rest of the violence based video games.
I will gladly pay my taxes to help feed and house him for the rest of his life. He wrote some children's books so he is a role model. It is not like he killed anyone, or created a gang that has cause many innocent citizens to be killed, raped, or robbed.
He should die along with any celebrity using their overly powerful and meaningless opinions in favor of him.
you like mesa/phoenix and vicinity over LA and southern california?
i've lived in both, couldn't stand arizona one bit. where in mesa do you live?
on topic:
he's done some good later in life but that doesn't change all the shit he did back in the day. not too sad to see him be denied clemency here.
Fuck no, Arizona is a shit hole compared Cali. I go back to La Jolla any chance I get. But LA...god damn I hate that place. I dread every moment I have to spend driving through that damn city.
Its 1:40am PST now.....just clicked off the tube & headin' for bed. Tookie declared dead at 12:35am local time. I echo the comments of Charlie and the like.....this guy was a POS and did not do society any favors. I don't care if he wrote childrens books and help sway potential gang-bangers from taking the wrong path in life. The man killed 4 innocent lives in cold blood, he got what he deserved.
