              The Volvo is in tip top mechanical condition, it's our Volvo tech's car.

              The GTO is some customer who wants the thing restored but doesn't want to pony up $20k just for the engine/driveline rebuild....car is all matching #s and has sentimental value, so it sits.

                I don't think i'd want to pay 20K for a driveline rebuild either. Sounds like a good time for the guy to learn to do it himself.

                  Yup. It sat for decades with the oil cap off. Engine is full of water. Car is so rusted out it's not funny, BUT it's sentimental and number matching. I guess he's saving his pennies to get it done, but now it's just sitting here. Has been since Spring.
