I never thought the prequels were BETTER than the original trilogy. But I was just a kid when Episode 1 came out. I loved it. But it's probably different coming from someone who was alive when the first trilogy was released.

I'm not a big Star Wars fan to begin with, but the pod-race in Episode 1 is really sweet, and the light saber duel with Darth Maul, Liam Neeson, and Ewan Mcgregor is good. The special effects of the prequels are also way, way better, though I understand I'm comparing them to effects from the 70's so it's moot.
