            I wasn't expecting much from Sleeping Dogs since I got it free with a graphics card purchase, though I was pleasantly surprised.

                            Personally its because the game was announced in October 2011 and the first trailer in the first week of November 2011. With a release set for September, likely to be pushed a bit further out, two years is quite a long time to begin hyping a game up. But that's just me.

                            For comparison, GTA IV was first teased in March 2007 and the game came out April 2008.
