I had to dig to find this pic:

This was my clodbuster, can't find pics of the brushless Stampede that was an eternally-non-running project. Both are long gone, decided real cars were more worth my $$ and time.

I keep mine around for when my car pisses me off. With that said, I just picked up a 3903 Emaxx on ebay for $200. Just had to add my own radio and body.

Should serve it's purpose well... Which is to allow me something to beat the living shit out of without breaking the bank.

Link to auction. Just got it yesterday and haven't had a chance for photo's.

Installed the new Mamba Monster 2 into the new E-maxx the other day.... Holy shit.

Didn't even make it through a 4s charge before I shattered the front right lower arm and cracked the upper. Went ahead and picked up 2 sets of RPM control arms. Just going to keep upgrading slowly as I break it as to not kill my wallet.

Seriously though, that Mamba is stupid fast.

Haven't had a chance to do much with RC cars because of my work hours. Finally got my revo back from my father in law, he had it at his hobby shop to show people the Tekno RC electric conversion kit. It was a regular revo 2.5 but I converted to 3.3 chassis and rebuild most of the chassis with better aftermarket parts for durability.

Here's a bumper I made for a friend, test fitting it on a project truck for my 3 year old daughter. Bumper is actually going in a truck with a XJ body not the Wrangler, so please excuse the massive gap.

So, second time out with the newly installed MM2 on 4s I broke it again. First time control arms, this time bulkhead and skid plate.

Luckily RPM just released their own bulkheads for the Emaxx, going to pick up those and integy aluminum skid plate. Slowly making it bullitproof!

Sounds like you're doing it smart with RPM stuff.

Be careful with the aluminum parts, I've seen lots of people come into the shop I help out at with emaxx's and stampedes who went aluminum arms and aluminum parts because they were breaking the stock arms. Ends up it just transfers the energy and they tweak the chassis and make even more of a mess.

Yep, beefing up one part just moves the damage to the next weakest link.

Yea I am only putting aluminum in certain areas. Thinking only skid plates and chassis braces. It looked to me like the skid plate breaking is what allowed the bulk head to let go.

Definitely never going with aluminum control arms, gotta have flex somewhere.

Selling my 1/16th Traxxas Mustang. Not sure if this started as a Boss or a Rally but it now comes with the Mustang body. Brushless VXL all stock. Comes with 2.4GHz TQi transmitter and receiver and a Traxxas Powercell battery, ready to run. Your choice of drift wheels or rubber on-road set.

Looking for $185 or offer. No trades please

                            Thread bump...

I have an old t-maxx 2.5r, tl-01, and tlt-1, which have all been collecting dust for years. The t-maxx is complete and running (but hasn't been started in ages), but both tamiya's are missing bits (electrics mostly).

I decided yesterday that despite not having used them in 8 years, it bugged me that they weren't complete, so I ordered a new 2.4ghz radio, an ez-run brushless, a lipo pack and charger, a cheap pre painted 350z body and some other tl-01 hop ups for cheap. If only someone made a non m3 e30 190mm body.

I got out of the hobby about the time when lipo and brushless was becoming popular/affordable so I have no experience with that tech. It will certainly be interesting to jump back in with what I am told is much more speed and longer run times.

I'll post some pics when everything is back together.

I was in the same position. Got out when Nitro was king. Before I bought my newer E-maxx I was considering a nitro Revo.

                              Then I drove my buddie's E-revo brushless on 6 cell LiPo's and mind=blown.

Now running an E-maxx with Mamba Monster on 4 cells, still a 45-50mph capable monster truck.

Lipo+Brushless will blow your mind. The batteries will last longer than you wish to run it for, and haul ass.

I remember paying good money for nicd packs for 10-15 minute run times back in the 90's. I got out when the t-maxx was new, and man, that was awesome. Runs ended when I broke something, not when all my packs were dead.
