TTT and today is my 7 months smoke free day:-D

haven't felt this way in forever, it wasn't easy but I'm feeling incredible and hopeful about successfully quitting the cigs.

it's funny as a non-smoker now, I notice people who smoke now, and there aren't as many as there were before...trully a dying breed (pun intended)

Will mark five years cigarette-free on July 12. Best of luck to those of you who have recently quit -- keep up the good work. It's worth it.

3.5 months for me on July 4th. I went from being a highly fit athlete who was out on the court, track, or field almost everyday to sitting around the house just smoking cigs because my lungs were so fucked. There literally is not 1 good or positive thing about smoking cigs. The buzz you get, which is why I liked cigs in the first place, lasted only a few packs for me before I was practically immune to it. Sometimes my morning smoke would get me buzzed, but that's about it. On the other hand there is a fantastic natural substitute I choose to partake in instead ;) Spliffs (MJ+Tob) is what got me all started though in the first place.

Never start smoking tobacco. NOTHING good ever comes out of it.

I got real sick for like 4 days so used that to quit, before was smoking a pack every 2 days, packs here are on average $5 so it adds up quick. I hadn't smoked in like 8 days, then started to smoke like 1 every 2 or 3 days because my friends smoke. I'm okay with that as long as I never buy packs again, that's when the heavy smoking starts. I'm gonna buy an e-cig and try to quit 100%. I quit about a year ago for like 2 months, and after about 2 weeks my lungs felt sooo much better, but this time because of being sick I've had a nasty cough for about a week and a half, like worse than a cigarette cough, I think I might have bronchitis :/

edit: I wish cigs cost 11/pack around here, more motivation not to buy em. that's ridiculous.

                  Went from 2 packs/day to 1 pack/3 days + e-cigarettes. Savings are considerable and I feel better.
Also - playing with batteries, clearomizers, liquids, wires etc. is a lot like playing with my car. Addicting.

                      Grumpy.

8 months and 19 days strong today.

never thought I could do this.

quit cold turkey, no gums, patches pills or vapes.

didn't gain any weight, down about 25lbs due to exercise and eating right.

if I can do this absolutely *anybody* can...I'm a stubborn old fvck.

I keep bumping this thread to encourage those who KNOW they need to quit the cigs.

                      keep at it!

I've cut down to about 1 cig a day, if at all. I don't really have a problem with craving them, I just do it when I'm bored or if I just ate!

I quit 17 years ago,im 45 now. Started when i was 13 years old stopped at 28 years old. One of best things i have done in my life was stopping. I was about a 2 pack a day smoker.

Guys, don't fukin do it. Would you park your car in a lot where you knew shopping carts would hit it?

I work at a major cancer center. Man cigs are so not worth it. Yes, I know, we are all going to die someday. But the thing is, who wants to rot on the way to the grave! You know its bad when you can't even get outta bed to take a crap. Then some stranger comes in to your room to clean you. Yeah, for cigs?

Thats all I have to say about that.
