also the shop i took it to says i should send the fork seal job receipt to the [lace i bought it from, idk what do you all think

Learn to set your wheelies down softly. A bike with that many miles shouldn't already have a blown fork seal. ;)

Did you strap the bike down in a truck or similar to bring it home? A fork seal can easily be damaged by strapping the bike down too tight.

Or rough wheelie landings as mentioned.

If the seal leaked immediately and you did not tie the bike down at all, you may try talking to the shop about it. Otherwise it would be hard to pin blame anywhere.
