My wife told me she wanted a baby before I got another motorcycle.... (I hit a deer at 75mph on my 06 zx636, and highsided my 09 CBR600RR, walked away from the first, broke my elbow on the other)

I think it's getting near that time though. Riding is something that is in your blood. You can delay it, but sooner or later you get back on.

I dunno though, when I get another bike it just might be a Honda shadow Phantom edition.
When the time changes, I notice that drivers get more insane and I always put my bike away for a month or so. Then when people have seemed to settle down I will bring it back out.

I commute and live with the reality that I could get killed every day I am out there. Been off bikes 4 different times and all of them, thankfully, have been unassisted (meaning, my own fault and didn't get hit). But it is scary business just riding out alone without any other cars around. We certainly are not immortal.

That's why. I almost bought one when I bought my 600RR. Problem was then I was still too into clutching up into staggered stand up's.

Now I'm pushing 30, have a daughter whom I plan on living to see married at least. I've had my fun pushing the limits, and now I don't want to leave my family because I make a stupid mistake.

Going more for style and comfort on my next bike.

        Justified. Carry on.

I was just running the KTM stock Brembo break. I think I might sell the brake kit, I don't feel I need it that much for just cruising around the streets. I don't race.

Finally knocked out the oil change on the LC4 engine. What a bitch that was, lol. Took me almost 3 hours :( It was a nice night yesterday so I went out to take some pics.

I seriously thought of doing this to my XR400 but didn't want to keep switching back from street to dirt. How much of a pain is it to switch out?

Picked this little guy up a couple days ago. Not exactly a supermoto but it sort of fits in :D

Love the LC4, Jaywood. Badass bike.

So, I sold the DRZ back in August and picked up an 05 KTM 450 EXC sumo. Love it. Probably going to replace the DNA wheels with some Warp9s or KTM Factory sumo wheels if I can find them - just to get rid of the orange. Turns out there's a pretty good size group of guys in Kansas City to tard around with.

Rear wheel off getting trued, new bearings and new tube/tire.

Just a heads up, we have a couple of HUGE supermoto meets coming up, with people from all over the country in attendance. Last year we had 160+ supermotos. People came from Washington, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Georgia, Arizona, Colorado, Missouri and Arkansas. Meet takes place in Branson, MO but a majority of the ride will be spent in the beautiful Arkansas back highways. They're also working on getting something setup with a local racetrack so we can have a track day. 3 AMA Supermoto pros will be in attendance, just as they were last year as well. Amazing roads. Awesome people. June 4-9th. Details in the Facebook event link below.

Another one is taking place in Dallas/Fort Worth, TX. If you've never seen their videos, look them up at DFW Supermoto on facebook. Awesome stuff to motard about on, awesome guys and will definitely not disappoint. This one is March 7-8. They're expecting about 100 supermotos to show up.

JCarp, nice pickup! Looks great. How do you like it so far?

Wish that meet was closer to me. Looks real fun.

Found a nice dirt road the other day. Took me further than I expected!
