Love what I'm hearing.

Problem is my wife is afraid of motorcycles, and I can't blame her.

I've been down 3 times, 1 of which involved a deer head on at 70mph on a back road in the middle of the night.

The other problem, is that when I met her I was on my zx6r, and the shit is in my blood so deep that I can't ever stay away for long.

Good news is I don't care about going fast anymore, and a drz looks like a hell of a lot of fun while saving precious gas money. I had a kfx400 (detuned drz motor in a quad) and loved it. Which is why I am interested in the drz.

Edit to add: seriously looking at an older standard drz400, super cheap which is good because I refuse to take any loans.

I love the shit out of my drz400sm. I'd buy another in a heartbeat even though they are slow by comparison to some of the other sumo options out there. I don't know anyone that gets that kind of fuel economy with one though. I'm usually right around 50ish mpg.

Get it...you won't regret it.
Pay one in full (no payments to worry about).
I average about 50mpg (I moved closer to work and school and I spend about $5-7 in gas a week now).
My insurance is like $16 a month.
Best financial decision I've made.
After selling my car now I'm saving well over $600 a month just in car expenses (payment/$244, insurance/$96, gas/$240, maintenance/na).

Thinking about convincing my wife to let me pick up a drz400sm. Any suggestions?

She doesn't want to work after having the baby, so funds are going to be tight. I'm selling all toys, but dearly miss riding... Plus who can argue with 60-80mpg?

I sold my CRF450R a month or so ago and picked up this beast. 05 KTM 625SMC w/ 4500 miles on it. Super stoked with it. Can't beat the electric start!
