Meh, did a few more and got this:

    I had a sub-1:47 going but I apparently cut the corkscrew a bit...ah well.

Bahaha, sorry. I'm a fan of the older/more slidey cars over the newer/stickier ones. Anyone else try driving an LMP1 car with no aids on? It's less fun.

          Maybe I'll go buy a 599 GTB ;)

Also, this thread is worthless if we don't have all the driving aids off.

            ALL OF THEM.
I will say I like to run ABS at the lowest setting, otherwise they lock if you even think about braking. If it's set to it's lowest, they will still lock if one panic brakes, as a real car would.

You have a nice consistent analog trigger for them brakes, basically instead of mashing it you just need to pull it to 80% and roll off it as you turn in. Braking for the corkscrew is a bit trickier, but you get a feel for the friction circle of the car over that crest and what you can and can't get away with.

With my wheel its a bit easier but yeah, understood. I actually just took out the 599 and it was a little crazy

Now try the (599) GTO. Lots of fun. Pretty ridiculous for a production car.

Bought another one of these cars to make stock easy to achieve and jumped on the track. Threw 5 laps down and got down to 1:48.085. More later (including some tire pressure tuning?).

                      Must Top Gear now.

I need an xbox.... I bet I've wasted more time on this game than anyone without an xbox ever has.

Second thought: If I had one, I'd probably never get anything done.

Edit: Fuck it. Anyone have a used one to sell me?

Fuck this game, lol. My laps keep getting invalidated. I nabbed a 1:47.087 with some room for improvement but I dropped a wheel off exiting 11 so it was no good

Best clean time was a 1:47.877. I started getting pissed and lost my concentration after I realized if you drop a wheel off in 10 or 11 it invalidated the next lap, which ruined a bunch of low 47s. I doubt I would have caught a mid 46 though Elva, you're quick as hell.
