I will contact owner in the morning. Last time I spoke with him, about two weeks ago, Kayce was going through some physical therapy she needed prior to surgery. I do know they have reached out to the local Humane society, and a Pitbull rescue organization ( that a member on bimmerforums recommended) to source a surgeon that would be willing to work with them on a longer term payment plan, as well as performing the surgery at a discounted rate.

As far as the finances, I have yet to release the funds to the owners, as he advised me to keep it with Fundly (the fundraising account) until payment is to be made to the surgeon/vet.

I'll get some updated pictures of the pooch on here tomorrow, assuming I can get a text with some. I want to thank you guys again for the support, between here, bimmerforums, and some facebook marketing, the total is up to roughly $1,200!

I'll try to keep this post updated as much as possible, and when information becomes available to me, I will be sure to post up.

Mother, fiance and I do fostering for pits and everything. I will have my mom cross post it on facebook. If I remember correctly it took her 2 days to raise $1600 to send a pit to a rehabilitation center. Let me see if she can work her magic on this one.
