Why shouldn't be??? Oh wait thats right the big city people are so much smarter and know whats best for everyone so we need to all do it their way I forgot. MUST STOP before stepping all the way on to crate of soap

Seems to me if the violation is Written for Out of date Registration, and trouserless one has proof that his is paid up to and including the day the violation was written he has grounds to argue the ticket. Regardless of operational status, if the violation is written for parking on the street and being non/op then hes fucked.

Just depends on what the cop listed on the ticket............... but then this is CA where common sense does not apply.

ahhhh yeah thats going to be a 50/50 shot there at best then. But since you have paid them the fees you might have some leg to stand on. The issue with living in a broke state they are going to want the fine monies too

Spence, I'm sure this has happened to many r3vers, myself included. It's a mistake you'll only make once. Think of it this way, you got lucky for like 2 years! Cheers to learning things the hard way :drink:(I thought we had a "cheers" emoticon?)

youre quite lucky that the car wasnt towed. my folks had an old ford van parked in front of the house for quite some time. the van had non-op registration (yes, my dad knew this was illegal but whos gonna know...).

the city came to investigate a random abandoned vehicle down the street and started to run random license plates for cars on the street. they checked the plates on the van and saw a non-op registration. the city wrote a ticket and called a tow truck no questions asked. we had to go to the police station and pay the fine and get the release papers, then go to the impound and pay their fines. and to top it all off, for some reason the van was only registered under my dads name, so he had to take a day off from work to do all this shit. he was quite unpleased when he got home...

so i realized theres a "if corrected fee" of $10.
i wonder if this means i have to get the car smogged and cleared up at the dmv within 21 days

i have crank now, and fuel. one injector not working properly (thats my next step)

would one leaky injector keep the car from igniting?

haha exactly. fuel rail is pulled. injecter #6 was leaking so much that there wasn't enough pressure in the rail for #5-#1 to fire.

so im replacing injector #6 and it should run! fingers crossed.
