Lol! That is my friend Chris's sons car. His name is William, he is not a Hipster per say.
I constantly give him shit about his "patina" . I call it fucked up paint.
It has been hit in the front end 2 x since he has owned it (both times by people running red lights).
As far as the hipster thing, he is just an a atypical vw kid. If you go out to the Pavillions on a sat night you will see him and the other neck-bearded un bathed vw guys right in front of the McDonalds.

and imo, there's nothing wrong with the patina/rust look. Most of the time, those bugs are found in that condition in a bran somewhere and got brought back to running condition while keeping the look. Makes it look like a survivor. Definitely better than forced rusted hood and stuff with newer cars.Leave a comment:

VW Dub Bug Craze....
IS GETTING OUT OF F*CKING CONTROL!!!!! Everywhere I drive there's a rusted out/stanced/loud pos of what used to be a decent example of a classic German car being destroyed by rich, college hipster douchebags.
And now this? Really? 7K for that? I hate hipsters. I know it's being sold by a hipster dbag because I see this car EVERYDAY driving home in South Phoenix and the guy reeks of hipsterism.
