I'll trow some fuel to the fire by saying...

    - 4 years ago paid $ 800 for my set of 003's, won't let them fo for less than $ 2,400., bought a set of 15 RF's for $ 125 about 8 years ago., lol.

    - a 5mm spacer is more than enough to clear 310mm brakes, probably a 3mm would do if you shave off excess tread

    - they are easy to clean IF you buy correct brushes.

    - timeless design and period correct, then again, there's a huge range of mesh style wheels to choose from,
they seem to complement e30's very well., I happen to like SSR's mesh series too.

    - I'm expecting 3 pc Hartges to brake things up a bit, yes, easier to clean, so?

    Aloha friday

Maybe some day you'll need to submit pics of your car with an is lip, drop, and bbs wheels, with you holding a sign with your username & the date before you can join r3v. Then there can be a big BBS r3v circle jerk. This thread & some of the responses makes me never want to own BBS wheels. Ever. There's a BBS thread already, all you fanboi BBS nerds go hang out there & stop shitting on the mere mortals who have different tastes.

I feel the need to post this:

Wasn't really a huge RS fan, found mine for cheap last summer, and they have really grown on me since.

People love BBS wheels because they are quality product and they look good. They look good on e30s, they look good on VWs, they look good on Johnny Chang's rickshaw. It's hard to argue with what works.

I would build a car around a set of BBS RS any day especially with flush mount caps and step lips.

                            it's just a ETA !

They're still a great looking wheel. I'm just not wow'd
By them anymore . Every Stanced out MK4 Jetta has a set. It's getting tiring. They look at home on older 80s German cars and that's it .

I want a set, but in Miami they're on civics... So they aren't high on my list of wheels want/need.
