One of my favorite perks of owning a clean E28 M5 is the smiles from complete strangers and people stopping to talk/ask about the car. If a chunk of metal can make somebody else's day a little bit better, then that makes me happy as well. Props for making the real world a happier place.

I still don't like the car a whole lot but I bet if I saw it in person, I'd be smiling too.

They're 4" wide, I had custom inners spun by Rotiform paired with BBS drop lips on the front to make it happen. Sealing them wasn't easy, but it didn't really matter because the tires require tubes. :)

Thank you! That's the mindset I have, and that's what it's all about for me. This truck has something about it (that is not necessarily unique) that makes everyone stop and smile. Every car I pass on the road can't help but give a thumbs-up and grin. That makes all the hard work worth it. :)

Sweet ride. I think it looks pretty bad (in a not good way) right now, but it has such major potential.

If you're going to keep the M60 I think there is a lot that could be done to make the engine look more period correct and shine out from the rest of the car.

Love the rat rod attempt, but the engine's just too tall and wide.

I'll try to scrounge up pics of relatives' cars; one is pretty restored but I don't remember the condition of the other two

the wheels look cool, all in all it's an interesting application but the m60 is a bit.. unfitting. i think a carburetor-equipped m30 with straight pipes would be ideal in this car.

isn't there a member on here who bought an old BMW with those exact plans? i must search for it.

If it was that Dixi that was on ebay a while ago it would have been cool.

It's a Model A. It deserves a Ford motor. You don't mix and match old domestic with new European.

Methinks someone saw that thread on the Dixi and is trying too hard.

an older BMW engine would have been cooler. or something with ITBs (any M engine).

I had a friend I almost convinced to drop a turbo M30 into a 1969 mustang. that would have been fun at car shows - and fast as hell too.

I love it. Then again, I've been a fan of most of the cars he's built. Never been huge on the whole 'stance' trend but I love the unique cars he's built and this is no different.

would be better if the engine was clean/polished because you would get a contrast between the body and engine. Right now it all looks like dog poo

Im surprised there is so much hate for this car. I agree its not my favorite thing that he has build but still I respect his fabrication skills.
