See, this is my opposition to dating. 4 years ago I was a senior in high school and didn't know how to drain my oil. Present day, I have a turbo e30 project that has been built by me 100% minus the machine work and ms prebuilt. I'm sure if I was getting around with girls that would not suit my needs I would not be any near this point in my auto career and def not had the money to work on all my cars. I don't call myself a tech more of a car tinkerer but sure as hell very thankful for as far as I have come (working in a dealer and an indie shop).

I do appreciate the input and tips from you guys. Maye I should stop thinking my time will be wasted. Worst case I will just learn and get closer to the goal. I just do not want my career to be halted since I am learning something new everyday, and do not want having a girl limit my greatness.

Yes Alot of girls under the age of 30 are Super immature,when it comes to Life in General. My last girlfriend was 23, cute art student, real smart and sassy as hell. I dont know how I get in these circles but she was also in a fire dancing troup? The tipsy gypsies group is sort of a mesh between the hippie festival kids, the punk/alt kids, and the trust funders who have plenty of money coming in to be able to afford jewelry making equipment and $500 tickets to shows, and fireswords/hulahoops all the time. Usually down to earth in the hippie fashion and able to take care of themselves, but with a very soft safety net.

She ditched me to get with her lab manager and they moved a town over when she graduated. Turned out he was a drunk who couldn't get a job (except in the pottery lab at the university, where I assume he moved in on her). The 'real world' changes some of these youngins opinions rather quickly, especially when they realize their boyfriend makes less money per year working at the coffee shop than their car payment is. As soon as daddy starts pulling the plug you usually see them run away quickly.

Worst thing is she is so damn pleasant to be around it will be pretty hard to stay away. My current lady is not excited about this turn of events.

Her story is relevant as well: she got a real job after highschool and took care of deadbeat boyfriend #1 for about 5 years. Almost married him but took him to rehab instead. Then she spent another 3 years with deadbeat boyfriend #2. Now at 30 she is very angry she 'wasted her 20s' supporting losers and never going to college.

I did not know about this group of women until I was about 30 myself. They will look down their nose at you just like you look down your nose at 23 year old girls on their phones. Where is your house? Where is your car? How successful are you? They want to make sure you are not a deadbeat dad like the last dude they wasted 5 years with. Sometimes they have kids, sometimes they dont, but the raging hormones of a 30 year old woman are something I cannot describe with words.

take this advise too, no need to get hooked up so young. I had a 60 year old guy come up to me in a restraunt when I was on a date in the city and says "I'm finally getting married for the first time, don't rush things it's not worth it" then smiles and walks off.
