Cars that compare to the E30

Had an interesting conversation today and basically it went along the lines of "there aren't many cars that exist still after 20-25 years" of the 80s/90s that can really compare to the E30. Hondas/Acuras can run seemingly for eternity of those decades.

I've only owned 4 cars up to now and 3 have been BMWs, so maybe some of the more seasoned folk can offer an opinion.

So what cars of the same year as yours (or decade) that has comparable build quality, drivability etc. Any thoughts or are there any?

I owned a few Hondas as a winter car. Besides that it has been pretty much only BMW for me. The Honda worked great and I miss the MPG.

This. I drove a friends 2.3L Foxbody recently, reminded me of a little different proportions, but very close to the driving experience of a beat up 200k mile 318iS.
