Have to disagree. Driven a few Corrado's and while I love them. They (IMO) share very little of the driving dynamics of an E30. Nose heavy FWD behaves drastically different than a well balanced RWD car. Also the curb weight was equal or more depending on the model. The only cars it was lighter than are iX's or iC's. It was close to 300lbs heavier than a 318is.

^ good point on the weight, I was speaking in terms of all the E30 models combined. in terms of power though, the potential is there to possibly make up for that weight but I can't argue your RWD/FWD point either as I've driven them as well

I've had this conversation with several people, who try to convince me that front wheel drive cars can handle as well as rear wheel drive cars, ands a stupid argument if two cars have the same weight, motor, driver, every thing with the only difference being the setup of the drive train the rwd car will always tend to handle better , the weight is more spread out between the front and the back which means better balance, and because the power is going to the rear wheels you can use power to rotate the car around corners. its just the way it is

                OK, there, Fernando Alonso.

Why is everyone on R3v convinced they are a racecar driver? Take an Integra Type R and an E30 M3, give them to a real driver. Say someone at the Auto-x Nat. runoffs, then we'll see if FWD cars are really *OH GOD understeer noseheavy slow ricer PIGS OF CARS*

You guys really make me laugh until I'm almost ready to rage when you whine on about how E30's are the best cars of all time and that all of it's atributes are the only way to build a good car. Are they great cars for a number of reasons? Hell yes! Are there better cars at similar prices? Probably. ^ last time I checked this is an e30 forum. We're supposed to be delusional about e30s here. If you don't like it, leave.

IDK... I kind of agree with Roy. E30's are awesome, but they are not the best thing out there. And people need to be reminded of that. I think this is a good thread here, http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=162689

How about matching Jag and Mercedes convertibles for ultimate his/her coke dealer status. The e30 trunk space is really limited compared to the bottomless hooker-pit of a jag vert.

Some good photos of the 80s here:

Also some good lists here, although a Miata in the top ten cars of all time is interesting.

Drove one of these yesterday, was kind of the same as an E30.. engine in front drive to back.. this was an autotragic

Obviously the E30 have superior handling and top-end performance and would leave that boat, which can't handle worth shit, around ANY track... but while driving I still got that.. E30 feel..

edit: also the E30 have much better brakes...

                                This, this and this.

A well sorted FWD car is a dangerous weapon and will almost always destroy the RWD competition. Some of the most enjoyable cars to see on the track are you guessed it, Civics and Integras.
