I just hate to always want to upgrade, so I try to get something decent the first time around.

i have recently made the move to a mechanical mod myself. i picked up a kts storm just to try it out. sanded all my contact points in the device and got my voltage drop to a respectable .12 at the atty, which is a cheap octopus set up wth dual 1.6 ohm coils, .8 ohm overall. im running cotton wicks and dual 3/32" air holes. awesome flavor, great throat hit, and amazing clouds! right now im using panasonic 18650ch batteries which have a 10amp rating, im waiiting on 30amp sonys so i can go a bit lower in ohms.

definately do your homework before venturing into sub ohm territory, most importantly study and understand ohms law. if things go wrong, it will be ugly. i started out with a regulated device and started doing micro coils in the 2 ohm range and upping my wattage to produce similar results to a lower ohm set up. i did this until i was comfortable building a nice, safe coil, and studying so things dont go boom in my face.

I'm running pannas and orbtronics. They are work horses. Currently running an ithaka and trident both sub ohm, both flavor punchers. Awaiting a kayfun lite and an omega.

I ordered the igo-L and will probably just run a low ohm single coil with more air flow.

I will be getting AW IMR batts eith a discharge of 10A so they can handle sub ohm if I pleased to do so.

I honestly don't care much about flavor when I have huge clouds, I smoke hookah for the clouds and not taste. If I can get decent taste and clouds then that is just a plus. Either way I will just take a longer hit instead dealing with dual coil and sub ohm stuff.

I should get my set up next week. I'm super excited.

Use 100% VG and a 1.5 or 1.2 ohm and don't blow your face off... you won't need sub ohm. If you don't like that then start out at 1 ohm.

i am currently waiting on 2 nimbus's, a trident, and a 'vela mod clone to get here, as well as the new 30amp sony batteries. in a modding stand point, vaping is more expensive then smoking, but i havent felt this good in years. i'll take the trade off any day.

Nice man. I agree the initial investment has been expensive but worth it.

To the dude trying to hooke... check out todds review of the kayfun lite. 9mins ish in... big cloud 1.5ohm on a good regulated mod. You don't necessarily have to have sub ohm to get big clouds...

Went to a concert last nght and saw someone with a k100 amd nimbus. I had to go talk to him. He let me try it. It was greaatt. He was running dual coils, but idk what ohm, and he didn't either. Kinda sketched me out.

I will always be safe about what I will be running.

I am going to order some AW IMR batts tonight probably, and hopefully fasttech will get me my order before next weekend. We will see about that though.

And to those who keep saying I don't need to go sub ohm for huge clouds.. I got it. Lol. I still want to try it a few times. I will most likely still around 1.0-1.5. Not sure if I want to run dual coils or not. It will all be trial and error.

I'd order your batteries from Amazon before fasttech. The Panasonic cgrs are cheaper on Amazon anyways. I just bought 4 last week.

Oh, yeah sorry. Thee comma was ment to separate my two thoughts. I ordered my mech mod and other goodies from fasttech. I still need to order the batteries cause I didn't want to order any battery from fasttech for the reasons you're concerned about.
