Can't we require specific answers about e30's to be answered before allowing someone to register? Most of the front page is spammers right now.

The spammers are not bots, which makes the task exponentially more difficult. They're real people, half of whom are copying and pasting content about the thread they're replying to - the Hans thread is a prime example.
Some type of (more active) user approval method would be good, though how do you distinguish a "real" new user from one who wants to tell us about cell phone or cabinetry deals in Wales?

Hopefully it won't turn us in to e30tech's registration... I registered for e30tech the same time I registered here, I'm still waiting for approval..
Also, what I think would be awesome is instead of sending the spammers to a rickroll video, send them to the same exact forum with all the existing posts, but the only people posting in it will be the people who don't know about e30s!! So we can have two parallel forums existing in different dimensions, where one goes to shit, and the other thrives!
