As long as whatever you're typing or talking about has something to say or add then it shouldn't be a problem. Don't let pretentious people get in the way of that. It's always fun to lay the smack down with soCal surfer speak when talking with the lawyer buddies.

I judge people based on their grammar constantly. I'm don't claim to have perfect grammar and spelling, but I put in an effort.Comment

I personally appreciate and value when people take the time to portray and convey their intent and concept by typing it in a way that can be grasped by 75% of people, and that's good enough for me. As long as it makes sense, and I know where to pause and shift concepts, I'm good.Comment

Maybe it's just me, but I have a real hard time listening to political rants from anyone regardless of use commas, capital letters, periods, etc...
Let's all learn some grammar. Then we talk(type) about politics and the way the world works!
Though, I could care less what kind of grammar (or lack thereof) someone uses when they talk about their engine. Which after all is on a higher level of though then politics.
So what? I'm a dick in the morning...Comment

For me it depends on the argument. If it's at all intellectual then I don't take someone with poor spelling and grammar seriously. There is a very high correlation between overall cognitive ability and verbal ability, so if their verbal skills are seriously lacking it makes their credibility suspect. If it's not intellectual then colloquialisms and whatnot are fine.88 325is - S52 powered
