    Shipping to Canada

Does anyone know how long it would take to get a package to Canada on account of customs and whatnot? How long of a delay versus shipping somehwere in the USA? I'd be shipping car parts, if that matters.

I know it's a little vague and varies, but the main thing I'm trying to figure out is if shipping to Canada is going to create a big delay in package arrival time.

According to the seller I just bought a shift knob from on eBay in Canada, it takes 7-10 days to the US for packages via UPS Ground.

It's not much. Add at the most 2-3 days onto what it would take to get to a bordering state, except for like Christmas time.

I've received packages from the furthest states in exactly a week, sometimes a day less.

Oh, and for the love of everything sacred use USPS people. UPS has asshole policies, takes the longest, and charges insane amounts of brokerage fees. Fuck UPS.

I got charged $18 to ship a shift knob and e-brake handle from CAD. It was only 1lb. Stupid rip off eBay people :(

I hope to get it this week, I think they just say 7-10 to cover their asses.

Agreed. UPS is evil in international shipping; they rape you with the brokage and duties charges.

If you can, help the guy out and label the package as a gift. That way he won't get any charges on the item. Or just declare the item less than $50 and he won't get charges either. And put used.

Sometimes packages can get stuck at customs, thats the only thing that extends the time it takes to get there.

i ordered some stuff about 10 days ago and no show yet. I'm getting anxious, i want this shit on my car. Living in Canada sucks for these cars, even though there are so many, all the parts dealers are in the states.

I talked to UPS about crate shipping from canada to texas and was quoted $300-500. $300 was with a special deal they were running. About 3 days. And I was wondering about how much to ship a hardtop.

It's really not that bad, a whole bunch of the E30 parts are available here. I actually rarely import stuff nowadays.

What about private sales from the states. How long?

This time of year? Just write "To: Hell" on the front of the box and it should be there in 4-6 days as long as it isnt going to a polar bear.
                              Im now E30less.
