Awesome! I have enough feedback to make a smallish batch. I'll let this ride out for a few days to gauge a first batch order.

Guess I am making a trip to the tannery.

It is what it is, I am not going to compare myself with others. Or bash other companies.

A company like Nixon says it is based in USA, but that does not mean it is made here. And it says nothing about what leather they use or the process in tanning it.

I drive to the tannery and pick out what I want. That simple! I know where is comes from and I am supporting my country/area. Not to mention I do not own machines to stamp all this out. Plus I think that takes away from the product. The character is lost, it is a personal touch of skiving the leather into shape and the use of leather rolled hammers to make bends. Not to mention the edging by hand! I love it, so much fun.

Here is what I was thinking of, happens Jcrew offers the same thing. They only offer it to hold cards. I am adding a pouch with a double fold on the edges to allow a bill fold.
In short, a double back that has the edges folded over to make a pouch. Then the front has a spot for 3-4 cards.

I took my cards out and the stack of receipts...it is around 1/4 thick flat.

Here is two pictures from JCrew(All rights reserved):

This is kinda what my Levis wallet looks like, but with the cards standing on end(card strip facing upwards). This GREATLY stops cards from busting.

They sell it for 45+tax and shipping. Would be around 55ish, but I have held this wallet in person a month ago. The leather they use is like cardboard and it turned me off from it. It was just hard and crumbly, I do not know their process or leather make. All I know is my supplier that I use offers some of the best leather on the market. I think they soak the leather in the dye. That makes it very hard and lose strength. Best way is to hand rub it in like I do. Then let cure in a humid room to retain moisture. Takes much longer but it is soft when dry!

I think more people would be interested in a BASE price wallet, full leather just like this. And I'll have add ons for people that want to fancy it up with suede.
This design is simple and effective.

Finished most of the head. While I was doing that I thought up two wallets. One will be like I mentioned above. Second will be like that money clip card holder. No clip and very thin, I have to find my stitch punch and will make some. Think the size of a card with a slot in the back for cash. And three front slots for a few cards. Slim, light and same quality I am offering.

Also if you could do a hide dyed in a red similar to Cardinal that would entice me further.

If the clip is quality I could go for this. My current money clip I've had for something like 2-2.5 years, and it's still good. I'm thinking I'd prefer something w/o a clip at all though. Just really slim/basic. I carry maybe 5 cards and 10 bills at most, and I hate having anything in my pockets, so the slimmer it is the better.

I collect myself in the handcrafted brands. Since that we pay attention to details and craftsman ship. Hides are better grades than giant corporation's stock.

I was not offended, just showing that their only leather wallet is the same price without shipping and tax.

I gotta go though, finishing a b27 head swap. Chime in guys about card pockets and add pictures of what you would like to see etc.

Hey man, I wish you the best, the belts look really good, I'm just too poor, thats all I Was getting at.

Good luck on the head swap.

That is the brands I have been researching for prices on wallets. And yup they are a great deal more and the same grade I offer. Everyone starts out someplace, they did! Just trying to make this real. I have a real passion for it, just trying to make rubber meet road.
