Oh, I do get 24bit/96 and 24/192 records but there is just something about Vinyl that I've always loved. I still remember playing Delicate Sound of Thunder 15+ years ago and that's how I fell in love with it. So I started looking on eBay and CL and found a few so far that I like.

For amplification I currently have a clean 60watt per channel rms dual mono class a/b. But once I find correct size heatsinks I'll finish my Nelson Pass Aleph-2 100 watt class A monoblocks that idle at 300 watts of heat haha.

Pre-amp, is 24 step attenuator, but I do have a couple different active pre-amps but I like the simpilicity of a stepper with quality resistors.

I still need to pick out a good turntable though, will probably go used, not sure yet what I'll get though.

Speaker wise it took me a few years, but it's a ScanSpeak 3 way towers, same drivers used in 20k+ commercial hifi systems. There are lots of really good quality kits out there , for different budgets. I do want to build a new set with some ribbon top end and smaller open back mid-range. Otherwise I just use my mdr-7506s.

Depends on budget. The Rega Planar 3-24 is the E30 of the audiophile turntable world. Personally, I prefer ProJect for better isolation and (I think) a better tone arm. Can't go wrong with either brand.

Clearaudio Concept would be the E30 of the turntable world IMO. Cheap enough, simple, and amazing performance for its price.

The Planar has been around since the '80s. It's considered a classic. It has a very strong aftermarket support and virtually unlimited upgrade potential. It remains the most popular deck among people who like to mod/hotrod on a moderate budget. Hence the comparison to the E30.

I have a Rega P2. It's not the strongest link in my system but it's not the weakest either. It does its job and it's a turntable that gets a guy's foot in the door to listen to vinyl.

If you want a deal, get the Marantz TT-15S1, which is designed by Clearaudio, and very close to their Concept line.

I remember trying to collect trance/techno records back in highschool but I didn't even have a record player. Really wanted to get into mixing trance like my idol, Oakenfold, but my e30 stole all my money so I never got any mixing gear and ended up selling or giving away my records. So much money wasted in those days...

And that's my story.
