    Clutch knee/leg pain

Recently I drove from NorCal to San Diego and ever since this drive my inner knee on my clutch leg has hurt while sitting down. I expected this to go away after a week or so, and it has progressively gotten worse. Sometimes it is hard to get up and hurts to have it completely straight. My lower back is starting to hurt as well, and sometimes when I bend my neck a certain way I get a shooting pain down my whole left side waist down.

I am making an appointment to get it checked out soon, and hopefully they can tell me what is wrong. Thing is I can still go to the gym, workout, run etc perfectly fine with no pain, but once I sit down is when it hurts.

I am 6'3", I always have my wallet in my pocket, I sit somewhat close to the steering wheel and in an almost straight up position, my seats are falling apart stock comfort seats.

The clutch on my car is a new stock replacement. I have driven an e30 for about two years, and have never had a problem till now. frst one was a two door with sport seats, second is a four door with comfort seats.

Anyone experience anything similar? What were your home remedies?

i had a similar issue to this from driving around a work vehicle everyday that had shitty seats. get some new seats, and dont put your wallet in back pocket.

I am assuming it is the seats, but even with my sport seats I had lower back pain.

Maybe I just need mkII recaros

Maybe lower your seat a bit? I've had similar pain from driving a TJ Jeep up I-95 from NY to RI (not fun). I think the higher seating problem exacerbates the problem, cos I don't usually get leg/knee pain doing the same route in other manual cars.

maybe just tweak the supports on your seat.. Get a dead pedal for a foot rest on long trips?

I would use my right foot to push the clutch before I swap to an auto.

Try stretching? chiro? bigger car? Try a small pillow behind your lower back.

I strech it pretty often. Still hurt once I sit. I like my e30. I don't want a diff car.

Woah, I never noticed that lever like that... tf.. other than that lever they are just ratty and torn up.

And those wheels were bought to accommodate tires I was given..which cost me damn near the same as just tires for some basketweaves. They were necessary to make my trip. All in my defense. ;)

Ever seen the difference between an office chair that costs $19.99 vs one that's $999.99? If it's something you sit your ass in for hours at a time do yourself a favor.

Those seats are gone but put your wallet in your front pocket for a week.
My kid has a castanza wallet and had severe back pain. thinned it out and put it in his front pocket and hes fine
