Both the range rover driver and some riders are in the wrong here.

The rider was wrong to pull in front of the range rover and slow down like that, but the range rover should have slowed down when the rider pulled in front of him. At that point the driver was tailgating. It's not OK to tailgate because there's a bnch of motorcycle around you or because one pulled in your lane. If the driver wasn't tailgating then he would have been able to safely slow down when the rider slowed down. Also, the rider definitely did not "slam on his brakes", if the range rover driver kept a safe distance from him then he likely wouldn't have rear ended him. In this accident the driver that rear ended the rider should be at fault, as is almost always the case when you rear end someone.

Remember, it wasn't until AFTER rider got run over that they started acting violently towards the driver.
After the rider was rear ended all you can see is the range rover and a bunch of riders coming to a stop. No evidence of anyone attacking the range rover at that point. It's ridiculous that people would justify what the range rover driver did here by saying that it was OK because he was "scared" being surrounded by a bunch of motorcycle riders. Really? So because your scared that makes attempted murder with your giant SUV OK?

It's absolutely ridiculous the hate against motorcycle riders in general and people saying "I would run over as many as I could".

Try not putting yourself in the drivers seat "trying to protect your family" but rather as a biker. If that was your brother as one of the innocent bikers observing that got run over and permanently injured what would you do? I'd make sure that driver got justice.
Not justifying what they did to the driver, they should have just followed him until police got him instead of pulling him from his car and beating him on the ground, but I can understand their anger and why they did it.

Who wants to take a bet that the Driver of the SUV will get charged and he will be liable for the injury to the biker that is in a coma?

Did you even bother reading the article you just linked, the guy that was seen punching the window claims he was trying to protect the driver of the Range Rover

    Beginning of article:
For now, no one is charged in Sunday's attack on an SUV driver who was chased on Manhattan's West Side, dragged from his car by motorcyclists and beaten.
    End of article:
Another biker, Christopher Cruz, 28, was in court Wednesday facing misdemeanor charges including reckless driving. Cruz's attorney told reporters that his client is not guilty.
He was to be released after posting $1,500 cash bail and a $15,000 insurance bond. In addition, his license was suspended and he was ordered to surrender his passport.

lol. One word I will forever avoid using: "asshat". Consider it way out of my vocabulary. lmao

So many of you guys are so harsh man. WTF. Chill out. Smoke the cheebz. Live and let live. Ease up, slow down, and show some respect for one another. My goodness. None of you were there. Why are the panties in a bunch? None of you even live here. So just relax. Go play with your kids, or work on your car, or take your girl out for ice cream. Holy smokes. Don't get wrapped up in other peoples stories. Jeez.

You're right, and the only people who could solve that question would be the biker who was recording. But he chose not to show the earlier part, which means its probably not flattering to his group. Not to mention the 7 other videos he tried to remove showing them harassing cars, running lights, nearly hitting pedestrians while going on the sidewalk cutting through traffic.

So all of the evidence shows these guys were pieces of shit harassing people and creating dangerous situations. Not one shred of evidence that the guy in the SUV was doing anything wrong in any way.

Really cannot stand people actually getting behind these asshats. EVERY video shows in detail exactly the way they were all riding - Like knobs. Looked like a shit show from the beginning. I am a father, and back in the day if I had my then 5 month old in the car with these dick brains all around.... well who knows.
Any knob caught up in this ghey ride deserves everything they get/got.

Manhattan seems nearly empty on Sundays. If he stayed left on the Henry Hudson Parkway he would have made it to a toll with police. Bad move turning right onto 178th street. :???:

And oh god he's such a criminal with all those parking tickets and for never getting a DL or motocycle license so let me run him over with my fucking SUV....

You don't know shit about the RR driver's history so how do you pass judgement on one and not the other?? Because he drove a RR and had his wife and kid in the car? drug dealers, murders, rapists, etc drive around in nice cars with their wife and kids everyday.....

    just saying...

And guess what you would be the dumb fuck who ended up in the same spot or worse like that RR driver did. How many other motorists decided the provoke them, like they were doing??? None, why because everyone else moved out the way because 100 bikers vs 1 unarmed person is a loss.

But anyway..not getting into an internet argument over this foolishness...both sides are idiots in my book.. you guys win 'Merica
No one wants to be in that position in the first place. It not about how many bikers vs what. Chances are the RR driver was talking to his wife where to celebrate their anniversary and all of a sudden the bikers speeding up to the RR. before you know it, the RR already surrounded and other biker are speeding left and right that he can't switch lanes. He then try to slow down and the bikers speeding from behind got pissed off. It does appear that the biker was behind the RR at the beginning of the video and speed up to confront the RR driver. And then is shit from there.

I saw an article that made a good point about this -- he should have gone just fast enough that they couldnt get off the bikes and that if required, he could swerve a bit to keep them away.

    derp.

Of all of those guys (obviously tons are wearing cameras) nobody has come forward with any evidence of the RR doing anything illegal/questionable but of course they saw fit to take down some of the many videos of absolute dumb shittery.

Normally I have no objections to motorcyclists but these guys are all retards.
