Even if that wasn't the case, how does driving in reverse, in the wrong direction on a limited access highway get you out of the situation?

Moron gets bumped by RR, he stops, then bikers approach RR and start beating it and slash a run-flat tire, THEN he runs over a biker to get away from an obviously hostile situation, chase ensues, he gets caught in traffic and they proceed to smash his windows, drag him from the car and use a weapon on him and beat him into the hospital.

Concern for the bikers welfare wouldn't be on my mind. The safety of my wife and kid would be.

I guess you dont ride... most likely they were still trying to figure what the hell just happened. Id bet they did not get pissed off till the SUV took off over everyone else s bikes to get away. That set off the swarm.

How many seconds would it take you to say to yourself "Oh wow he just got hit, I should really stop!" 4-5? I think not. Try counting out 5 seconds, it's a lot longer than you think. I know how long it takes to slash a tire, or punch a 1/4 panel, and neither is more than a fraction of a second. So, I stand by my statement, 5 seconds is plenty of time for all that to happen.

There were riders directly on both sides and all around the vehicle during the incident who could clearly see what was going on. I don't think it registering took any time at all. If you were riding like these guys and got hurt then you deserve it and I hope you are stuck in a wheelchair for the rest of your life.

Some of the members of the group rode like that and others did not. But you understand that when you get on a bike and ride like that. That it could happen. And you live with the consequences of your actions.

I highly doubt that these guys went out to slash tires or cause issues. They were just all meeting and going for a spirited ride.


Today on my way home from work I almost was stuck by a SUV. The guy did not pay attention to traffic and just thought he would pull across to the other side to park. I saw this coming and came to a really fast stop. Standing the bike up on the front tire. I got off the bike and went to the driver and told him what a fuck he was for not looking and paying attention. That his lack of attention almost cost me my life.

A Miami Beach cop saw me get off the bike and approach the truck yelling at the guy. The cop sided with me and told me to calm down a bit. Since there was no accident the cop could not do much, other than check the other guy out.

Bikes get really pissed off with people that are on phones and texting while driving. I can say I almost get hit once a week from people not paying attention. I can understand the anger that people feel when things like this happen. People need to get off their phones and realize that they are driving!

These guys were asking for it. While I still haven't seen anything about what initially provoked the conflict. Them surrounding the SUV, boxing him in and brake checking the driver, they were looking for conflict and they found it. My idiot friends used to do this on their road bikes. They would coerce people into situations where it made them look aggressive towards cyclist then try to pull them out and fight. It was ridiculous and I stopped riding with them.

Here's a bunch of videos from the same ride prior to the event. These guys weren't out for a leisurely cruise obeying laws. They were blocking intersections, splitting lanes (illegal in NY), running lights, riding on sidewalks, cutting people and generally riding like idiots.

I don't think anyone was right in this situation but I can't blame the SUV driver one bit for fearing for his family and getting the hell out of there no matter what or who was in front of him.

Actually, in California if you rear end someone it is your fault no matter what for not maintaining a safe distance. There was once an accident in front me and I slid into one of the cars...it was deemed my fault. This is not to say the law isn't flawed because it is and scam artists have been doing this for years but thats the law.

Yeah we have that here for all the hipsters... its called Critical Mass. A huge pain in the ass if you are trying to get around town during this. They don't care for shit.


As to the link you posted with the other videos. Yeah there defiantly some riders that needed to be ticketed and or removed from the ride. The 4 wheelers and dirt bikes on streets show clearly that there was no respect to others on the road. The one driving on the wrong side of the street, should have gotten hit. And would have deserved it.

going back to the video with the accident etc... I am curious to see just what provoked the riders to slow down the SUV. Something happened before the video started that provoked these guys.
