    how thick is the blade in your saw? That'll make a difference as well, little thicker eats materials faster but it's more rigid. I have a band saw and chop saw and I use the chop saw for about 90% of my fab, so much faster.

    You may know this but make sure that your blade is a dedicated SS blade with no other materials. Especially friction saws, they catch materials and can embed it into other materials defeating the purpose of stainless.

      You will need to build some type of jig for steep angles.

        Stainless is a PITA in my experience. So that there is probably one part of it.

        You also want to securely clamp the workpiece into the chop saw. Hand-holding it isn't a recipe for precise cuts, particularly with slow cuts.

        NitroRustler is right on with his McMaster recommendations. They generally sell high quality stuff, which consequently is usually the "right stuff."
