    f*%$ california.....

trying to make my e21 smog legal and i have a shelled cat in the car currently.

so i thought ill just have the whole cat back done while im at it.

summit offers a nice 50 state legal cat, and a nice single to twin muffler, went to buy these items and every time i try and check out it gives me an error window.

some of the items in the cart are not legal in CA.

but the cat says its legal for california emissions in the god damn description...

    so annoyed!

    link to said cat:

    link to said muffler:

i cant figure this B/S out but im going to give them a call in the morning.

    /Rant.

Just give them a call. I was going to say I buy non 50 state legal parts from them all the time but I guess a cat is not for "off road use only" lol

Uh, I know someone who has an address in Nevada and travels to Tahoe just about every weekend. This person also goes to the Summit Racing store in Reno pretty frequently when going to eat at SüP on Sundays for their killer SüP!

Oh and yes California will try and bone you every chance they get.

I dont have to play the smog game any more and they can suck it!

this sounds like a good plan.

my aunt lives near austin, on the edge of lake travis.

maybe i should move in with her.

You can buy a PO box a register it in a non-smog county. You do realize that less than 20% of California is smog-required right?

It just so happens that 20% makes up about 80% of the population

Also; how is anyone going to know you modded the car or are running a non-OEM cat?
