Horrible news days before the holidays

This is the third manufacturing job that has up and shut its doors on me. I've relocated twice in the state of MI as a result. Starting from the bottom while educating myself for future enhancement is really OK with me. I probably would not be writting this if we had a stronger economy. But seeing how rapidly manufactoring jobs come and go, career moves are becoming more common. I have two children in college and I always preach to them the importance of an education. What better lesson for them to actually see me practice what I taught.

Sorry to hear man, I didn't read any other post but your original post and the part where you're taking it upon yourself to take class in a totally different field of work is amazing.

UPDATE 10/2/1015
I did it! It's official!!!! It was a long road with many hours of studying and countless clinical rotations but I accomplished a short term goal. I am now a nurse and continuing my education in the nursing field. Special thanks to my loving and understanding family that supported me through out this challenging struggle. Thanks for all the support and encouraging words from my fellow R3vlimited family.

I really need to go back to college myself. I'm doing well for someone with only Highschool and Technical education, but I know that for long term growth, I will need to do this.

I have an enormous amount of respect for what you have accomplished at your(my) age. Going back to school to learn a completely new field, at this point in life, is incredible, not to mention the noble field you chose.

You can do it! The feeling of accomplishment at my age is like no other. The praise I get from my wife and children is great. They know they can be successful with a little hard work.

Oh by the way, I am a grandfather. The little girl in the picture is my granddaughter.
