When I watched the weather tuesday up here they said that atlanta area was going to be hit hard with ice? This morning when I watched the weather up here Al and the weather channel guy both said atlanta had advanced warning and they chose to ignore it.
Also for those that say Maine never gets ice so we don't know what it's like, google ice storm of 98. Hell, just 2 weeks ago we had 1/2 inch of ice, didn't see a single traffic jam on the news.

I WISH, we could do that again, damn things would freeze, woke up this morning and it was almost ZERO AMERICAN. wich is -20 canadian.

Even in this freezing temps. the 24 hour challenge is going on right now, where you thank your nominater, nominate three other people, chug a beer and then do something outside with the snow or ice in your underwear.

Because 2" of snow is the same as a hurricane? That's stupid. One makes you drive at or below the speed limit, one causes $68B in damages.

I feel sorry for the folks in GA. Not because they're shitty drivers in the snow, but because their municipalities let them down. Didn't they learn their lesson yet?

There is definitely a misconception that as New Yorkers we get the benefit of clear roads in the winter "because the plows are out early". Sure, maybe in the cities or highways, but not for the people in rural areas.

I'm gonna sound like a grandpa talking about walking uphill both ways to school, but this was my commute to school:

Give it a day. Then read the news. Once again, people up north have no clue what a winter in the south is like until they experience it. We can drive in the snow. It's things like this that we deal with when it decided to get cold and storm .
