how often do you need to self defend your self? I think these classes are cool if you're going to be a MMA fighter otherwise it's a waste of time. Just get bigger or learn to run fast.

It's not a matter of how many times you need to defend yourself, it only takes once to be seriously injured or worse dead. Sometimes physical combat is unavoidable (ie. jumped, held at gun/knife point, etc). Getting "bigger" doesn't mean shit if you don't know techniques to defend yourself.

Krav Maga is one of the only real fighting arts around. You are not going to get your self out of a bar fight against 3-4 guys with BJJ!
The difference between Krav and something like MMA or BJJ is that MMA and BJJ are competition fighting stiles, and were not developed for defense. Krav is a fighting form developed to hurt your attackers very badly as quickly as possible to make sure you get home safe. Groin shots, eye shots, neck shots, and bone braking. Really anything goes.
Iv been doing it for a bit now and love it. Its a great work out and a confidants builder.

This. And for a lady, who is fairly likely to be overpowered, you don't want to arm the assailant, if he isn't already. If he has a gun then you probably should just comply and hope for the best.

A gun is not always a good option. There are certain situations you would not want to use one. If your in a place where you could damage something dangerous chemical tanks, in a airplane, around a large group of people that could be hit by missed shots. Or maybe you are in a state where you are only aloud to respond with equal force, and your attacker only has his hands or a blunt weapon.
Its always good to know how to kick some ass effectively, with out having to resort to a gun.

^This if you watch the video it was developed to fuck some shit up. Bjj is all good if you are fighting one person in an isolated area but if you are in a situation where there is the potential of multiple people jumping in the Krav all the way.

100% wrong. Krav is specificaly developed so that it can be easily used by any person, man, woman, big or small. You forget that everyone in Israel is required to serve in the military. That means that they get all kinds of people including smaller woman. They all know how to kick ass, and all could kick some serious ass.
Again Krav was not developed for cage fighting or any other kind of competition fighting. A street fight, and a cage fight are two very different animals, and just because you are a good competition fighter DOES NOT mean you will win a street fight.
