      Liberal Artsy Fartsy.

"Public speaking/presentation skills, the ability to be an effective writer, and critical thinking cannot be taken lightly. If you aspire to settle into a professional setting with your work, having a solid foundation of these skill sets is a given."
A good argument for majoring in Liberal Arts.

My logic - when it came to major choice - was that I might as well get something that people will find somewhat useful. I'm going out for finance right now, and I think I'll just stick with it. I have plenty of free time to do what I like to here.

Edit: In all seriousness, college is more about discovering what you're all about. Yes, this sounds emo and lame, but it's - for the most part - true. I'd reconmend that everyone looks at doing study abroad. This is the one thing about college that I can't wait for.

Going back to jobs... as long as your school's department is up to snuff, you should be able to find at least an intership into your feild of work, so try not to worry too much about the career stuff.
You speak the truth. Do what you like and definitely take advantage of a study abroad program (usually a strong point of the 'bullshit liberal arts schools'). I'll be in London next semester doing an independent study in international politics ;).

I've purposely avoided getting an game console and I use linux (no gaming), so I'm pretty well off.

Until my friend gave me an old XBox and forza a few weeks ago. It was hell that weekend, but I think I'm over it. 650hp 1984 Buick GN FTW!!

If you're anything like me, you'll play the game for around two days and then get tired of it. It happens.

No go at Harvard and UPenn, got into Hopkins, VTech, and Towson, still waiting on USAFA and Princeton. Most likely will end up at VTech.

I'm thinking going out of USA form jun/sen. year to UK. Is international relations a good/stable major to choose? I like to travel, and want to choose something which would allow me to travel (pref. around europe/Russia). on the other hand, I could be some kind of engin. work for Dell in some other country!

didn't say theres anything wrong with that.. i'm just not one, and Austin is an extremely liberal city (for the most part), and I'm about as conservative as they come.
