Man those things are money pits if you want to make it look decent. Use to work up at a shop in san luis obispo and there's just nothing like it. Remember driving down to bimmerfest in Santa Barbara and a turbo just fucking made us all look like pussies.

I just came back from a nice drive up there. It's totally awesome when there is no one up there and your sitting in your car watching the sunset. Pretty cool heheh

Mine's still stuck in storage, but I swear I will finish it up and get a chance to race it this summer! Here's how it looked before I put it away last fall.

It was supposed to be at the beginning... but it's morphed so much from the original idea that it's kind of gone out the window lol! I got it when I was 14 or so, my Dad picked it up for me from his buddy in PA. Fast forward 10+ years later, it's now got an M42 engine swap, 15x8s, and E30-based brakes. We have two local vintage race groups, the older one (pre 72) somewhat follows HSR/SVRA rules in regards to period-correct mods, the second group is called G70+ (73-89) where you basically get away with anything... I'll probably run there. Not sure if it would fly with SVRA though. I could always run my E30s wheels on it to fit into Group 8 (max of 7" rim) and just move up a class or something because of the motor. Regardless, I'd still get roasted, some of those guys in Group 8 are crazy fast! LOL!
