Dang rough crowd you 2002 lot are! my mistake, I've seen people referring to the 2002 as an e10 so assumed it followed suite with other BMW naming.
also I apologize, I know its not a 3-series but it was my impression the BMW Neue Klasse was considered the forefather of BMW's sports sedan history and thus lead to them producing the 3-series, appears my facts are wrong and I've still got some more history to learn.-Brad

The 2002 isn't Neue Klasse either, but the Neue Klasse BMWs certainly were the beginning of all BMW sport sedans .
