If you guys have never shot before, go to an indoor range where you can rent and have someone show you the basics of safety and operation.

Haha, well played. As a local I'll remind you to drink water.

Since you have hit up the tourist hot spots I'd also suggest:

            Places/Events:

            - As Mazur said - Canyon Lake --- Tortilla Flats
            - Lake Pleasant
            - Phoenix Zoo
            - Ever been paintballing? There are a few fields/indoor places
            - Taliesin West (Frank Lloyd Wright's home, is now a school for architecture)
            - Depending on your musical taste, we have a few venues that are worth checking their schedule. For example, 311 is at a local casino's pool this Sunday
            - Tempe Improv and StandUp Live - owned by the same company now - nationally known comedians are there often
            - If you hike Camelback Mountain, bring lots of water, and don't be on the local news the next day

            Food:

We have a good mix of different types of food, you must try some different things. Use yelp to make sure the place has good reviews, then dive in.

            - Like a few other states - eat In N' Out, at least once
            - Enjoy a sunset dinner/drink at Different Point of View (great restaurant with a great view)
            - Oregano's Pizza - family owned local chain, eat at the closest one, my fav local pizza (and I've tried a lot), get the cookie/ice cream dessert

AzCentral has decent lists, old article but they have them for each weekend too:

            Another list: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attractio...x_Arizona.html

            Spooky places list: http://theshadowlands.net/places/arizona.htm

Spent today hunting for a vehicle to ship back to MI. The blazing hot sun makes this simple task nearly impossible for me to do. My other hurdle was comunication. If I had taken Spanish instead of French I may have been successful today. I will try to visit forum member "Parsedout" tommorow to see his e30.

Wow, someone that doesn't call us all assholes over at .org!! Haha but I guess this is coming from a r3ver ;)

-Canyon lake, like a Mazur said. Be careful on t flats, many have lost their precious BMWs (and others) there

-Do you golf? Lots of nice courses with good summer rates

-"The Rim" or Mogollon Rim is gorgeous and a sweet view. It's about 1-2hrs away near Payson depending on driving speed and stops

                            - Jerome I have heard is cool, never been though

                            - like others have said, don't waste your time going South

-Nogales is fun to get your Mexico fix. Haven't been since I was younger though

-could always take a trip to Rocky Point Mexico as well. Not that far away

                            - Pavillions has a car show every Saturday. All kinds, mainly a show for the rodders but has plenty of local bmws there regularly

Drink plenty of water! Especially if you go hiking
